This healthcare model was chosen by Dr. Lisa Zwerdlinger because it focuses on patient care, clinical excellence, accessibility, and service. By adopting the DPC model Rocky Mountain Family Practice (RMFP) has put patient care first. The service area for RMFP is Leadville and Twin Lakes, and all of Lake County, Colorado.
What is DPC?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an innovative alternative payment model improving access to high-functioning healthcare with a simple, flat, affordable membership fee. No fee-for-service payments. No third-party (insurance) billing. Patients have extraordinary access to a physician of their choice and physicians are accountable first and foremost to their patients.
