As a medical assistant, I see every day how a little preparation can make a big difference in the quality of time you spend with your doctor. RMFP allows ample time for patients to communicate, share information. We then make sure to follow up to help you get the best results from your next appointment.
Here are some ideas for you to get the most out of your appointment.
Communicate, Share Your Full Health StoryDon’t hold back—even if you think something isn’t important or is embarrassing. Small details can be big clues for your provider.
Take Notes or Bring a Companion, It’s easy to forget details. We give you time to jot things down. We’ll even give you the pen and paper. If you want, bring a companion; having a friend or family member listen with you can help you remember instructions later.
Share Information, We Love ListsWrite down any concerns or symptoms you’ve been experiencing. This helps you remember everything you want to discuss and keeps the visit focused on what matters most to you. Please remember you will have ample time – so bring your list.
Bring Your Medications (or a List)Include prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and supplements. Knowing exactly what you take helps your provider spot possible interactions and adjust your treatment safely.
Follow Through, If we order tests, prescribe medication, or recommend lifestyle changes, we help you follow through. And if you have questions, contact the office—either by email text or phone, we’re here to help.
Your health is a team effort and we are excited to be part of your team. Being prepared, open, and engaged makes your visit more productive—and helps us give you the best care possible.
