The holidays can bring true moments of joy and contentment – or they can feel heavy with obligations. Is your calendar jam-packed? Are you feeling pressure to please everyone? Maybe I can help by sharing how I prioritize my health during this season.

  • Check in with myself - you may feel calm today and stressed tomorrow. If I am stressed, I breathe in for four, out for six. It’s a nervous system reset button.

  • Move – I take stretch breaks, park a little farther away from the store when shopping, suggest walks with friends instead high-calorie get-togethers.

  • Drink water  -  Hydration is the unsung hero of wellness.

  •  Do what feels good  - sometimes this involves saying “no” – I graciously turn down social invitations that crowd my schedule.

  • Share Gratitude – I express what I am thankful for with my inner voice (to myself) and my outer voice (to others).

I hope something in the bullet points above resonates with you. Your well-being is a gift that lasts far beyond the holidays. Here at Rocky Mountain Family Practice, we are grateful to care for you and your love ones.
