Gratitude Is Good for the Soul — and Your Health

As November arrives and we begin thinking about Thanksgiving, I find myself reflecting on the many things that make our community special.

I am especially grateful for the opportunity to care for the people who call this community home. After more than 28 years in family medicine, I still believe one of the most important parts of being a doctor is getting to know the person behind the medical chart. Your health history, your family, your work, your worries and the things that bring you joy all matter when it comes to providing good healthcare.

November is also a good time to think about gratitude for something we sometimes take for granted: our health. Taking care of ourselves doesn't always require big changes. Sometimes it means scheduling that appointment we've been putting off, getting recommended bloodwork, taking a walk, making time for rest or simply paying attention to what our bodies are telling us.

From all of us at Rocky Mountain Family Practice, thank you for allowing us to be part of your healthcare journey. We wish you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with gratitude, connection and good health.

With gratitude,

Dr. Lisa
